Brief Information: Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has published notification for the recruitment of Account Officer Class 2. There are total 15 vacancies.

Latest News: The Mains exam which was going to be conducted in March 2022 is postponed.

The Last date to apply for the post will be 31st July 2021. The will candidates can visit official site GPSC OJAS for online form.

The Selection will be based 3 Phase – Prelims, Mains and Interview. Prelims Exam of 400 marks (Two Paper of 200 Marks each). Mains Exam of 900 Marks (Five Papers) and Interview of 100 marks. Mains and Interview marks will be considered for preparation of final merit list.

Qualification

  • 1. Posses a Bachelor Degree in Commerce(B.com)/Chartered Accountant (C.A)/Instiute of costs and Work Accounts (I.C.W.A) / Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) / Company Secretary obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the central or State Act in India or any other Educational Institution
  • 2. Possess the basic knowledge of computer application.
  • 3. Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Mode of Selection

The candidates will be selected based on the Prelims Mains and Interview

Prelims Test – Total 400 Marks – 2 papers of 200 marks each. The Duration for the exam will be 3 hours (180 minutes) for each paper . The prelims paper are:

  • Paper-1: General Studies 200-Questions-200 Marks and
  • Paper-2: Account and Auditing 200-Questions, 200 Marks

Mains Exam – Total 900 Marks – 5 Papers. Duration of each paper will be 3 hours.

  • Paper 1: Gujarati – 150 Marks
  • Paper 2: English – 150 Marks
  • Paper 3: General Studies – 150 Marks
  • Paper 4: Accountancy and Auditing 1 – 200 Marks
  • Paper 5: Accountancy and Auditing 2 – 200 Marks

Interview – 100 Marks

For preparation of Merit list marks of Mains and Interview will be considered
