Qualification
For Flying Branch – Graduation (Minimum three year degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers & have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level. For Ground Branch – Graduation with 60% marks/ B. Com. Degree/ MBA/ MCA or MA/ M.Sc Degree in English/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ International relations/ International studies/ Defence studies/ Psychology/ Computer Science/ IT/ Management / Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Public Relation with minimum of 50% marks For Technical Branch – Four year degree/ integrated Post Graduation qualification or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India

Pattern of AFCAT Exam
The examination conducts in 3 stages, Online Exam, written examination & Interview. The online exam consist of 100 Objective based question of 300 marks. The duration of exam is 2 hours.

English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms & Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms & Phrases General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time & Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion & Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability
Salary
Flight Cadets shall receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100/-per month during one year of training. (According to 7^th CPC)
